Expand description

EVM contexts contains data that EVM needs for execution.

Fields§

§env: Box<Env>

EVM Environment contains all the information about config, block and transaction that evm needs.

§journaled_state: JournaledState

EVM State with journaling support.

§db: DB

Database to load data from.

§error: Result<(), EVMError<<DB as Database>::Error>>

Error that happened during execution.

§l1_block_info: Option<L1BlockInfo>
Available on crate feature optimism only.

Used as temporary value holder to store L1 block info.

Implementations§

§

impl<DB> InnerEvmContext<DB>
where DB: Database,

pub fn new(db: DB) -> InnerEvmContext<DB>

pub fn new_with_env(db: DB, env: Box<Env>) -> InnerEvmContext<DB>

Creates a new context with the given environment and database.

pub fn with_db<ODB>(self, db: ODB) -> InnerEvmContext<ODB>
where ODB: Database,

Sets the database.

Note that this will ignore the previous error if set.

pub const fn spec_id(&self) -> SpecId

Returns the configured EVM spec ID.

pub fn load_access_list( &mut self, ) -> Result<(), EVMError<<DB as Database>::Error>>

Load access list for berlin hard fork.

Loading of accounts/storages is needed to make them warm.

pub fn env(&mut self) -> &mut Env

Return environment.

pub fn cfg(&self) -> &CfgEnv

Returns reference to CfgEnv.

pub fn take_error(&mut self) -> Result<(), EVMError<<DB as Database>::Error>>

Returns the error by replacing it with Ok(()), if any.

pub fn block_hash( &mut self, number: u64, ) -> Result<FixedBytes<32>, EVMError<<DB as Database>::Error>>

Fetch block hash from database.

pub fn touch(&mut self, address: &Address)

Mark account as touched as only touched accounts will be added to state.

pub fn load_account( &mut self, address: Address, ) -> Result<StateLoad<&mut Account>, EVMError<<DB as Database>::Error>>

Loads an account into memory. Returns true if it is cold accessed.

pub fn load_account_delegated( &mut self, address: Address, ) -> Result<AccountLoad, EVMError<<DB as Database>::Error>>

Load account from database to JournaledState.

Return boolean pair where first is is_cold second bool exists.

pub fn balance( &mut self, address: Address, ) -> Result<StateLoad<Uint<256, 4>>, EVMError<<DB as Database>::Error>>

Return account balance and is_cold flag.

pub fn code( &mut self, address: Address, ) -> Result<Eip7702CodeLoad<Bytes>, EVMError<<DB as Database>::Error>>

Return account code bytes and if address is cold loaded.

In case of EOF account it will return EOF_MAGIC (0xEF00) as code.

pub fn code_hash( &mut self, address: Address, ) -> Result<Eip7702CodeLoad<FixedBytes<32>>, EVMError<<DB as Database>::Error>>

Get code hash of address.

In case of EOF account it will return EOF_MAGIC_HASH (the hash of 0xEF00).

pub fn sload( &mut self, address: Address, index: Uint<256, 4>, ) -> Result<StateLoad<Uint<256, 4>>, EVMError<<DB as Database>::Error>>

Load storage slot, if storage is not present inside the account then it will be loaded from database.

pub fn sstore( &mut self, address: Address, index: Uint<256, 4>, value: Uint<256, 4>, ) -> Result<StateLoad<SStoreResult>, EVMError<<DB as Database>::Error>>

Storage change of storage slot, before storing sload will be called for that slot.

pub fn tload(&mut self, address: Address, index: Uint<256, 4>) -> Uint<256, 4>

Returns transient storage value.

pub fn tstore( &mut self, address: Address, index: Uint<256, 4>, value: Uint<256, 4>, )

Stores transient storage value.

pub fn selfdestruct( &mut self, address: Address, target: Address, ) -> Result<StateLoad<SelfDestructResult>, EVMError<<DB as Database>::Error>>

Selfdestructs the account.

pub fn eofcreate_return<SPEC>( &mut self, interpreter_result: &mut InterpreterResult, address: Address, journal_checkpoint: JournalCheckpoint, )
where SPEC: Spec,

If error is present revert changes, otherwise save EOF bytecode.

pub fn call_return( &mut self, interpreter_result: &InterpreterResult, journal_checkpoint: JournalCheckpoint, )

Handles call return.

pub fn create_return<SPEC>( &mut self, interpreter_result: &mut InterpreterResult, address: Address, journal_checkpoint: JournalCheckpoint, )
where SPEC: Spec,

Handles create return.
